Join us online for a variety of tasting experiences.

Grenache - Wednesday, March 2nd

This versatile grape is one of the most planted red grape varieties in the world. The main component of wines from Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Priorat, and the GSM blends of Australia, it is also a minor player in the blends of Rioja, and as a single variety wine around the world. We will look at the intrinsic qualities of Grenache, the various production methods used, and the various styles.

The Ageability of WA Syrah - Wednesday, April 6th

Yes, Washington Syrahs are ageworthy. We will take a look at three vintages of Principia Reserve Syrah (2010, 2014, 2019). We will discuss what makes an ageworthy Syrah and how we go about crafting one.

Identifying Key Red Varieties - Wednesday, May 11th

We will discuss some of the main red grape varieties, their production methods, styles, and how to identify them in the glass.

Malolactic Fermentation and Chardonnay - Wednesday, June 22nd

What is Malolactic Fermentation (MLF), how does it affect wine style, and how to identify it in the glass? We will taste no MLF, partial MLF, and full MLF Chardonnays to illustrate the impact of MLF.

DuBrul Vineyard and Creative Impulse - Wednesday, October 5th

This beautiful wine is a single vineyard expression of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from one of the best vineyards in the country - DuBrul Vineyard. We will taste the 2010, 2013, and 2018 vintages to see how the wines age and what makes this vineyard so special. We will discuss the concept of terroir and its impact on the wine and on our winemaking decisions.

Ageability of In Order to form a more perfect Union - Wednesday, December 7th

This blend is the essence of the Columbia Valley. We will taste the 2010, 2013, and 2019 vintages to see how the wines age and what makes Eastern Washington such a great place to grow vines. We will discuss the various grape varieties used, our blending process, and how our decisions impact the style and quality of the wines.

Tasting Appointments

We are open seven days a week by appointment only for parties 6 or less (for larger groups, please email us). Rasa Tasting Policy:

  • The tasting fee is $75/person and is non-refundable.
  • We require our staff and guests to be fully vaccinated for Covid.
  • The tasting will include 6 of our highly rated wines.
  • Please allow 1 hour for the tasting.
  • If you need to cancel the appointment please do so at least 48 hours prior to your appointment time, failure to do so will result in full charges of the tasting fee.
  • Tasting fees for wine club members and their guests are waived.
